An alarming number of households do not have the appropriate knowledge of risk mitigation tools. As such, when a claim occurs, they unfortunately regress into extreme poverty and revert to catastrophic practices such as removing their children from school and obtaining shark loans. To curb these practices, we have committed to developing microinsurance, insurance for the low income. It provides people with little or no insurance the possibility of protecting themselves against specific risks that impede their lives.
